Shop ownership & co-management

This page explains who owns a shop on 88bookings, how other people can be given access, and how ownership can change hands.

The owner is the owner

Whoever first lists and verifies a shop is its owner. Ownership does not change automatically. It stays with that person unless a transfer is explicitly approved (see below).

Co-managers (helpers)

  • An owner can invite or approve co-managers to help run a shop.
  • A co-manager only gets access after the owner approves their request.
  • The owner decides whether a co-manager can help with one shop or several.
  • Only the original owner can add, limit, or remove a co-manager. Co-managers can't remove themselves or each other.

Requesting access to a shop

If you think a shop is yours, or you help run it, you can request access. The current owner is notified and can approve, deny, or report the request. Denied or reported requests do not grant any access.

Transferring ownership

Full ownership can only be transferred with the current owner's agreement and 88bookings sign-off. This protects owners from having a shop taken from under them.

Disputes

If two people both claim a shop, contact support@88bookings.ai. We will review the records (who created and verified the shop) and mediate. We won't move a shop between accounts without evidence and the current owner's involvement.
